How big is BOC’s liquefied gas production capability?

We have the largest production capability of any bulk gas supplier in the South Pacific Region. Our eight air separation units produce over 2,000 tonnes of industrial gases every day.

This scale means customers can be assured of reliable supply without relying on imports.

Does BOC supply bulk gas to all parts of the South Pacific?

Yes. We have 10 strategic locations across Australia and New Zealand, enabling supply across the entire South Pacific Region, including Sydney, Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Auckland, and Christchurch.

What are BOC’s bulk liquefied gas supply options?

Our bulk gas portfolio includes nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen.

Lower volume customers can order individual cylinders and manifold cylinder pallets (MCPs) online.

Higher volume customers can choose options ranging from CRYOSPEED® mini-bulk cryogenic service to high-volume storage vessels holding tens of thousands of litres.

Supply frequency is tailored to each customer, including planning vessel size and delivery schedules.

How big is BOC’s bulk gas delivery fleet?

BOC operates over 151 bulk tankers and 51 GHâ‚‚ delivery vehicles across Australia and New Zealand. These include cryogenic tankers and pressurised vehicles designed for safe transport of industrial and medical gases.

The fleet is strategically distributed to ensure reliable delivery and compliance with Australian Dangerous Goods standards.

How are bulk gas deliveries managed?

BOC works closely with customers to assess requirements and install on-site storage systems. Telemetry systems monitor gas levels in real time and automatically schedule refills.

Deliveries are carried out by trained professionals using specialised vehicles, with strict safety compliance and 24/7 customer support.

How easy is it to switch to BOC from another bulk gas supplier?

While switching suppliers requires planning, BOC manages the entire transition process — from infrastructure planning to technical support — minimising operational disruption.
