Cylinder safety preparation

  • Turn off your cylinder if it's safe to do so
  • Don't move or disconnect larger cylinders
  • Turn off cylinders connected to equipment and store above water levels where safe to do so
  • Ensure all cylinders are upright

    Damaged cylinder posing risk to people, property or the environment

    In the event of an incident involving BOC gas cylinders or vessels follow the below precautions:
    1. Shut off any electrical equipment
    2. Dial Emergency Services "000" and advise gas cylinders or receptacles are involved
    3. Contact BOC's Emergency Support line on 1800 653 572 (24 hours)
    4. Consider initiating an evacuation/exclusion zone of 100 meters
    5. Do not smoke or allow naked flames within the evacuation/exclusion zone
    6. IF SAFE TO DO SO, stop any gas leakage


    Impact to delivery times

    Due to impacts of the weather event, there may be delivery delays to affected areas across New South Wales. We are endeavouring to fulfil urgent medical gas deliveries. All other deliveries may be delayed.
